For the 2024 Season, E1T1 in Minnesota is entering its 25th year. E1T1 in Minnesota was established to provide talented young athletes with quality competition, exposure, teammates and a unique "family" atmosphere outside of their school/community basketball programs.
Our strength lies in the fundamental player development which is the focus of our program. We recruit and select emerging talent and provide them with the tools to achieve success on the court, school, and life. If you are willing to make a commitment, we have a team for you! Come to one of our free workouts to see what E1T1 is all about.
It is the mission of the E1T1 Program is to educate and empower today's young men and women with confidence, commitment and integrity, so they can live a productive and successful tomorrow. Our goal is to teach young athletes respect for themselves, the game, their peers and their community by instilling a code of ethics built on honesty, responsibility and teamwork. Together, our players, families and volunteers work with unyielding spirit to cultivate a safe and disciplined environment so every child can reach their full potential, develop their talents and increase their skills in the game of basketball and more importantly… life.
Today, the E1T1 organization is over 150 families strong and participate in the AAU Basketball program. The E1T1 family, including parents, coaches and sponsors is steadfast in our commitment to educate and encourage today’s adolescents who are destined to become tomorrow’s role models.
Our diverse roster includes kids from all areas of the St. Paul/Minneapolis area. The players are given the opportunity to travel and participate in highly competitive tournaments, as well as attend skill camps and customized practice sessions to strengthen their game.
To balance their commitment to basketball, we are developing tutorial programs to improve academic skills and we volunteer time in various community “give back” programs to inspire other youths, as well as have the teams participate in other fundraising events.

Coach and Boys VP of Operations, Terrance Waitts, 'I never imagined I would become a basketball coach, but when I look back on my High School and College years and think about what type of player and teammate I was, the “PG coach” on the floor is what all my coaches called me, So God knew my calling and that’s helping people. Coming from a small town “Wrightsville” 15 miles South of Little Rock, Arkansas - I attended Joe T Robinson High School and attended College and continued my basketball career at The UALR Little Rock for 3 years, graduated with a Business Management degree."
I later earned a degree as a social worker, working with people with mental illnesses and helping coach them to live better lives. Now that we are a nonprofit organization that gives me more reach to work with kids, especially kids without fathers.
